Sally Mitchell
Practitioner
Sally brings a diverse range of health, fitness and wellness skills to Element Bodywork. Having been a competitive runner and triathlete, and through practicing yoga for the last 10 years, she has developed a deep understanding of both the athlete’s body and the mind/body connection.
Sally was initially drawn to massage in order to heal her own body after suffering from multiple injuries and health issues while training and racing in triathlon. She studied and received an advanced Diploma in the Raynor technique of therapeutic massage and continues to expand her knowledge of different bodywork techniques. She uses a holistic approach when dealing with her clients, not just treating the symptoms or one body part in isolation. Her approach is both practical and intuitive and her treatments are custom-tailored to her clients’ unique needs, often addressing specific injuries or conditions.
As a complement to healing through massage, Sally also teaches yoga and Chi Running, a more natural and injury-free method of running. She believes that integrating these practices into our lives, together with regular massage, enhances the flow of natural movement, energy and rhythm in the body. In addition to helping and healing people, Sally enjoys spending time in nature, and while at home, she loves to fiddle on the violin. Feel free to check out her websites: www.bodyflows.com & www.chirunningsf.com.
